I stumbled upon an interesting website recently that totally discredited Kiyosaki. (http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html)

I too loved his book as you did, but the evidence that John Reed has on his website is compelling.

But "The Intelligent Investor" is a VERY good book to read. Highly recommended.

I appreciate very much for this article in response to my request.
I'm a math(w/ finance option) major(intended) university student and I recently made up my mind to build up my investment skills/knowledges for next ten years to become a successful trader&investor. It'll be a very long way to gain investment expertise but hopely the ten years of time will be sufficient for me to reach at some level if I work&study hard for it. I am eager to learn insight from successful investors who can make a steady profit on the stock market. =)

It would be also great if you could write some articles that:
- explain why you chose Ameritrade as your broker
- introduce websites like "Marketocracy.com" where people compete their investment skills online with their virtual money
- recommend good stock investing websites
- compare different investment strategies/books (pros&cons)
- teach how one knows one is ready to start trading with real money
- etc. (any topic on trading/investing is helpful)

I also started with first interest being sparked in college by a Scotish Lecturer. He used to always have a copy of the Financial Times with him every day. He would use it to go through it with us. A few years later later I started working in IT and Banking. Both these areas interest me.
