Greed is Good
Greed is Good. Here’s a quote from the movie Wall Street about greed:
Gordon Gekko: The point is ladies and gentlemen that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of it’s forms - greed for life, for money, knowledge - has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed - you mark my words - will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Greed is what causes American companies like Google and Yahoo to sell out to Communist China. Greed is what causes people to buy a company in order to pilage the pension fund. Greed is what causes American senators to sell out the people who elected them. Greed is a really good thing.

Greed is just the desire for things without consideration of the needs of others. Trying to make yourself believe that it is a virtue fools nobody…except, maybe, yourself.
